“Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.”

The students at East Moriches Middle School have been working hard on their fitness while helping to raise money for various organizations in need of funding. To support Breast Cancer Awareness month, some of the 8th grade students attended the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K at Jones Beach on October 20, 2013. Other organizations that students have supported include Autism Speaks and the American Heart Association. What an incredible way to improve your health and help others at the same time!
